Annabel Gutherz has dropped her newest single, ‘Shame’. Annabel’s sound is a unique blend of classic rock influences and an ultra-modern pop sound. On this track, despite the subtle distorted guitar chords and tasteful countermelodies, leans further towards the pop side of things, with a soaring vocal melody and big, thick textures. Lyrically, she talks open-heartedly about overcoming relationship insecurities: “[It’s] about the ruminations that can arise about your partner’s former relationships and the invasive fears that often emerge as a result,” she explains. The Berklee College of Music graduate will be returning with more music later in 2024. -Dan Peeke
